Meet the pastoral team at Toronto Church

our pastor:

Pr Susan Magaitis

Susan Magaitis is a commissioned pastor who loves Jesus and lives to share Him with others. An Avondale College University BA Theology graduate, Susan started working in pastoral ministry in 2004. The same year she married her college sweetheart, Steven Magaitis, the current associate pastor at Avondale Memorial Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Together they have one daughter, Alessandra, and a menagerie of pets.

Susan enjoys getting to know people, reading books, Les Mills aerobics, sharing a laugh and crocheting unicorns.

Commencing 2021, Susan will be the pastor of Toronto Seventh-day Adventist Church and the chaplain at Toronto Adventist School.

Tucker, Brendan & Emma-Lea.jpg

Brendan and Emma-Lea Tucker have joined the team this year from Avondale University College.

Brendan says:

I'm a theology student in my final year of the Grad Dip program. My previous degree was in video editing, which I use working for a Christian media company in Gosford while also studying. I enjoy photographing birds, playing board games, and reading lots and lots of books.

I finished studying archaeology last year and I'm now working at the Adventist Heritage Centre. I was lucky enough to go on a dig in Israel. I enjoy crocheting, cross-stitching, and anything crafty.
